A list of the 560 SEL's repairs and upgrades:

Engine compartment:

Replaced burnt-out 9004 passenger-side headlight.
Replaced hatch cover for passenger-side fog light (found in glove box).
Cleaned OVP relay pins and checked its fuses.
Plugged driver-side fog light back in.
Glued torn-off rubber mounts, cracks in idle air pipe. Reduced the rough idle.
Cleaned and lubricated dry AC idler bearing, cured odd little intermittent and variable whine from front of engine.
Re-sealed leaking suspension pump.
New water pump.
Resealed SLS pump.
Flushed cooling system, refilled with Zerex G-05.
Changed ATF.
Replaced broken brake vacuum line.
Charged AC.
Patched chewed air intake hose.
Repaired wiring to low-oil sensor.
Disabled wonky ABS.

Body:

Replaced missing trunk carpet with used.
Installed used warning triangle in trunk.
Replaced missing grille trim bars with used.
Replaced missing antenna. Cleaned and lubed it.
Touched up all the paint chips.
Replaced missing exhaust hanger.
New RR wheel bearing.

Cabin:

Glued torn key head.
Replaced rear-view mirror with used. Twice. (Broken flipper.)
Replaced missing passenger-side seat belt with almost-correct used one.
Re-glued loose B-pillar coverings.
Corrected switch positions on LR door panel.
Replaced missing cigar lighter in LR ashtray with used.
Replaced bad bulb in LR ashtray with used.
Swapped left and right reading lights back to their correct sides.
Put together a center brake light housing out of pieces.
Replaced missing driver's-door courtesy light with used.
Replaced missing plastic cover over passenger-side seat belt retaining bolt on the hump with different style cover, and driver's-side to match.
Replaced rear dome light bulb with used.
Installed used heavy rubber floor mats.
Replaced incorrect RH switch panel on LR door with a correct new LH panel.
Refurbished shifter knob.
Replaced broken passenger's-door courtesy light with used.
Replaced broken slider in LR window regulator.
Supplied radio's "CODE" to unlock it.
Repaired cruise control.
Lubricated noisy heater fan.
Lubricated noisy (when cold) aspirator fan.
Repaired broken driver's foot rest.
Repaired vent vacuum valves.
Replaced dog-chewed driver's seat belt.
Replaced factory stereo with Becker Traffic Pro 7881 (sans GPS).
Greased RR door check.
Repaired LR seat belt latch.

Still broken:

Hub caps (plugs) missing on all four wheels.
Passenger seat belt wrong version.
Sunroof only opens partially when cold. Sticky.
Small tear in center of passenger seat bottom.
LR speaker grille broken, parts are missing.
Rear speakers don't work.
Scratchy and intermittent rear fader.
Oil leaks, burning on manifold or exhaust.
Car won't readily upshift from 1 when warm unless throttle released.
ABS and SRS lights don't light at start.
ABS inoperative, seems to kick in a bit when it shouldn't. Dirty sensors? (ABS is now disabled.)
Broken and glued mess for a center brake light housing.
Glued broken fan shroud, but it won't fit in place. Motor mounts?
Rough idle (somewhat reduced).

Expenses:

Time is in hours, and cost should be obvious. I'll use U-Pull prices for used parts that I've already got. It's where most of 'em came from anyway! Fiddly small stuff like clips and screws are no charge at the U-Pull, if you're buying other bigger stuff anyway. Some of the times may seem inflated, miscellaneous diagnostic time sometimes gets tacked onto something else done in that session. The intent is that the total time spent on the car comes out reasonably accurately, not necessarily that the time shown for any given job is exact. (Even so the total is probably still under-reported.) Time spent keeping this log, not insignificant, is also not included.
